Terms of Service
Effective date: July 7, 2026 · Version 2.0
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of jenniferbagley.com (the “Site”), operated by Jennifer L. Bagley with CI Web Group, Inc., 3120 PMB 92129 Suite 100, Houston, TX 77098 (together, “we,” “us”). By using the Site — including reading Hands Up online, downloading the digital edition, or submitting any form — you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site and its content
The Site provides information about Jennifer L. Bagley's work — keynote speaking, AI training, the podcast, press and media — and the complete online edition of Hands Up: A CEO's Letter to the Generation That Will Inherit What We Build. All content on the Site, including the book's text and photographs, page designs, logos (including Jennifer's signature wordmark), graphics, and software, is owned by Jennifer L. Bagley and/or CI Web Group, Inc. or used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
Your license to the book
We offer Hands Up to read online free, and as a free downloadable digital edition (PDF) delivered after you complete the email form. In exchange, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- read the book on the Site and keep personal bookmarks, highlights, and notes;
- download and read the digital edition on your own devices; and
- quote brief passages with attribution (fair use always applies).
You may not republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the book or any substantial part of it, in any medium, without prior written permission ([email protected]). The photographs in the book are family photographs; please treat them with respect and do not reuse them.
Reader features and your data
Reader features (bookmarks, highlights, notes, read-aloud, text size, optional Google sign-in) store your reading data in your own browser, as described in the Privacy Policy. Clearing your browser storage removes that data; we cannot restore it. Read-aloud uses your browser's speech synthesis and voice availability varies by device.
Inquiries, bookings, and forms
Submitting a speaking, training, podcast, sponsorship, or contact form is an inquiry, not a binding booking. Fees, dates, deliverables, and travel for any engagement are confirmed only in a separately signed agreement or written confirmation. Listed investment figures (for example, keynote and training pricing) are starting points and may vary with scope, audience, customization, and travel. You agree to provide accurate information in any form you submit and to only submit information you have the right to share.
AI, text-and-data mining, and machine learning
Every page on this Site — including the complete text of Hands Up, keynote descriptions, blog posts, press summaries, client stories, testimonials, and photographs — is protected by copyright and, where applicable, by the right of publicity in Jennifer L. Bagley's name, likeness, and voice. We expressly reserve all rights that any statute, treaty, or directive permits us to reserve, including without limitation the rights reserved under Article 4(3) of the EU Digital Single Market Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/790) and equivalent text-and-data-mining reservations in other jurisdictions.
You may not use the Site or its content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, embed, or otherwise develop any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system, model, dataset, or retrieval-augmented-generation index without a separately signed written license from us. This restriction applies whether the use is commercial, academic, personal, or non-profit, and whether the content is copied, scraped, transcribed, indexed, summarized, or otherwise processed.
AI assistants and answer engines that quote the Site to answer user questions must attribute the quotation to Jennifer L. Bagley — jenniferbagley.com and link back to the source URL. See /llms.txt for the machine-readable statement of these permissions.
Copyright notice + takedown (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (3) identification of the material you claim is infringing and information sufficient for us to locate it (URLs); (4) your address, telephone number, and email; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Send DMCA notices to our designated agent: [email protected] · CI Web Group, Inc., Attn: DMCA Agent, 3120 PMB 92129 Suite 100, Houston, TX 77098. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download Site content beyond the licenses above;
- use, or attempt to use, the Site or its content to train, fine-tune, embed, or otherwise develop any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system (see the AI section above);
- probe, disrupt, or overload the Site or its form-relay infrastructure;
- submit spam, malware, or unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation in any submission;
- impersonate Jennifer L. Bagley or use her name, signature, likeness, or voice to endorse any product, service, or claim without our prior written consent (see also the Name, likeness & endorsements section below); or
- use the Site in violation of any applicable law.
We may suspend or block access that violates these Terms.
Third-party links and embeds
The Site links to and embeds third-party platforms — YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, LinkedIn, Facebook, partner and venture sites (CI Web Group, JustStartAI, OnePath.AI, Trade Rated, AI Tools for the Trades, and others). Those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or practices. AI-tool recommendations on the Site may include referral links; recommendations reflect tools Jennifer actually uses, and a referral relationship never changes what is said about a tool.
Name, likeness, and endorsements
Jennifer L. Bagley's name, likeness, photograph, signature (the cursive wordmark used across the Site), and voice are protected by the right of publicity and by trademark and copyright law. You may quote Jennifer briefly with attribution (fair use always applies) and link to the Site for editorial, journalistic, or academic purposes without asking permission. You may not:
- use Jennifer's name, likeness, signature, or voice — or any confusingly similar mark — to endorse or imply endorsement of a product, service, event, or claim without prior written consent;
- republish Jennifer's photograph or the signature wordmark outside of a linked, editorial context;
- generate synthetic audio, video, or images depicting Jennifer (deepfakes, voice clones, or "AI-generated" likenesses) for any purpose; or
- register, use, or claim any domain, handle, or trademark that is confusingly similar to jenniferbagley.com or the brands listed on the Legal Disclosures page.
Media requests, quote-permission requests, and endorsement licensing: [email protected].
Business results, testimonials, and no-guarantee
The Site references outcomes achieved by specific businesses — for example, client stories on /success-stories, testimonials in the book, and figures shared by CI Web Group clients on podcasts and stages. Those outcomes are individual results specific to those businesses, at that time, under those conditions. They are not typical, not guaranteed, and are not a projection of the results you will achieve.
Every business is different, and success in any keynote-referenced strategy depends on many factors we cannot control, including your team, market, execution discipline, budget, timing, and applicable law. Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as an earnings claim, ROI guarantee, or promise of any particular result. Nothing on this Site is legal, tax, financial, medical, or other professional advice; consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your circumstances.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Content on the Site — including the book, keynote descriptions, client stories, and AI-tool commentary — is provided for general information and inspiration; it is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice, and business results described (including client outcomes) are specific to their circumstances and are not promises of your results (see also the Business results section above).
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jennifer L. Bagley and CI Web Group, Inc., and their officers, employees, and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. The prevailing party in any action may recover its reasonable costs and fees where the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version; continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
